Prior to teaching a course in the GMC Global Online Leadership College you are expected to update your Moodle Profile by adding a professional headshot image, a short 2-3 paragraph biography, and interests.  Making these updates to your Moodle Profile will allow students to form a more personal connection with you as their instructor. You are also expected to review the entire course including the textbook materials, assignments, reading materials, lecture videos, quizzes, exams, etc. You should review the course syllabus, paying particular attention to the course expectations, course schedule, performance criteria, expectations and administrative procedures, ethics, and discussion forum guidelines. Be prepared to answer any questions your students may have regarding the course and about Moodle.  It is necessary that you become familiar with Moodle and the curriculum in order to competently facilitate the online course.

As a new faculty member in the GMC Global Online Leadership College, you will be given access to what is known as the Faculty Resources page. Its purpose is to provide faculty with the tools and resources needed to successfully set up and maintain a course in the GMC Global Online Leadership College. Access to the Faculty Resources page will be provided after you have successfully completed OLC 101. When you have access to this page, you will need to refer to it when you are ready to begin course preparations. You will want to review the Course Preparation Checklist before doing any course set up. Refer to the checklist when you begin first-time course preparations and subsequent course preparation. Its purpose is to walk you through setting up your online course one step at a time. The Course Preparation Checklist will be available in the Course Preparation Items section of the Faculty Resources page.
